UCLA Law Health & Wellness resources
UCLA’s state-of-the-art health and wellness programs are committed to serving the whole student – mind and body. Comprehensive services include primary care, women’s health, physical therapy, stress management, psychological counseling and much more. Students with documented disabilities are provided tailored services that promote independence and success.
All registered students are automatically enrolled in the UC Student Health Insurance Plan, but arrangements can be made if students prefer to use alternative insurance. With appropriate insurance, on-campus health services are available for free or a small co-payment.
All UCLA Law students can depend on accessible, high-quality, personalized health and wellness services delivered by caring and competent professionals.
Thrive: Mind/Body/Heart Initiative and Wellness Wednesdays
Thrive: Mind/Body/Heart Initiative provides wellness offerings to help make UCLA Law the happiest, healthiest, and most engaged law school in the world. Our mission is to educate, empower, and challenge students to excel in law school and beyond. The second Wednesday of every month is designated as Wellness Wednesdays, and Thrive puts on a series of events for the day, including yoga, stretch breaks, meditation sessions, healthy snack time, Real Music, campus run with the Run Club, and workshops with various wellness topics. For any questions about Thrive and Wellness Wednesdays, please reach out to Student Affairs.
UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
A CAPS counselor is available for consultations at UCLA Law. Our on-site clinic is open for brief assessments and limited follow-up appointments. UC SHIP insurance is not required.
