Discussion on the relationship between social support and psychological health status of migrant children

Objective: To explore the relationship between social support and psychological health status of migrant children.Methods: Cluster sampling method was used to select 858 migrant children from 4 schools in Shenyang as study objects; MHT was used to investigate psychological health status of these children; SSRS was used to survey social support of these children. Results: Psychological health problems existed in the migrant children. Learning- related anxiety was the most common psychological health problem,the incidence rate was 48. 50%. Social support of girls was statistically significantly higher than that of boys( P < 0. 05). Social support varied obtained under different health statuses,there was a correlation between psychological health problems and social support( P < 0. 05). Conclusion:Psychological health problems existed in the migrant children,learning- related anxiety and self- accusation tendency were the main problems. Social support of girls was higher than that of boys; social support affects psychological health level of migrant children,subjective support is protective factor of psychological health.
