The Impact of Continuing Health Education for Patients with Chronic Viral Hepatitis

Objective To investigate the impact of continuing health education for patients with chronic viral hepatitis. Methods Our hospital from September 2012 to May 2013 were treated 100 cases of chronic viral hepatitis, as the research object.In this study they were randomly divided into two groups using a random number method, 50 cases per group, the patients in the control group received conventional health education, patients in the observation group continued health education, two groups of patients, before and after the educational knowledge of chronic viral hepatitis,for knowledge,compliance,etc. were compared. Results Ear follow-up after discharge,the observation group relapse rate is 8%,the control group is 20%,χ2=14.04,P=0.0002<0.05. The score of the observation group for theknowledge of chronic viral hepatitis and compliance was significantly higher, P<0.05.Conclusion Continuing health education can effectively improve the knowledge and awareness of disease and the compliance in patients,reduce relapse rates,in chronic viral hepatitis care deserves further applications.
